About Chef Nicole Votano

Hey there! I’m Nicole Votano, a private chef, culinary consultant, and hospitality enthusiast. For me, food is about so much more than just eating—it’s about connecting, sharing stories, and creating unforgettable experiences. Cooking is my way of making people feel welcome, nourished, and celebrated.

I got my start at the French Culinary Institute in New York, where I worked alongside legends like Jacques Pépin and Jacques Torres. It was there I learned that great food isn’t just about technique—it’s about hospitality and making people feel at home through every bite.

Food has always been a big part of my life. Growing up in New York, London, San Francisco, and Hawaii, I was lucky to experience some of the world’s best cuisines, each place adding to my love for bold, vibrant flavors. Travel has shaped my culinary point of view and continues to inspire me every day.

After leaving New York, I took my skills to San Francisco, working in renowned kitchens before moving to Miami, where I’ve been for the past 20 years. Miami has been a wild ride in terms of culinary growth—from working on fine dining, coffee shops, and fast casual, to even dabbling in robot kitchens. I’ve helped shape the city’s culinary scene, opening countless spots that serve great food and offer incredible experiences.

Beyond the kitchen, I’ve worked with celebrities like DJ Khaled and Martha Stewart to create custom food brands that reflect their unique styles. I even led the largest brand launch in history, opening 500 locations across 5 continents in just two weeks—no big deal, right? 😎

I’m also super proud to have been the official caterer for Art Basel in 2012 and 2024, where we worked with high-end brands like Pucci, Muto, Ruinart, and Sol de Janeiro, creating ingredient-driven, local-inspired menus that delighted thousands of art lovers and guests.

As a mom of two teenagers, I get how food can be a way to connect with loved ones. My kitchen is where we share stories, laugh, and, of course, eat amazing food. Whether I’m whipping up a meal at home or consulting on a new restaurant concept, my goal is always to create something that’s not just delicious but memorable.
